Born in Barbados and raised in New York, Shaquom D. Thorpe is the embodiment of relentless pursuit. From the track to the boardroom, and from job sites to the strategy table, Shaquom has built a career and now a company on the principle of excellence in every endeavor.

As the founder of QuomWorks LLC, Shaquom leads with a bold vision: to become a full-scope construction and consulting powerhouse serving government, commercial, and private clients with unmatched precision, quality, and service.

Shaquom’s journey began as a student-athlete. He was named Track & Field Indoor MVP as a freshman, earned Most Academically Improved, and placed 3rd in the Health Orange Classic 10K. These accomplishments brought him honors including:

  • NYS Assembly Certificate of Merit
  • Orange County Executive Certificate of Recognition
  • Sojourner Truth Award

Graduating high school with an Advanced Regents Diploma, he was captain of both the football and track teams—earning the Senior Athlete Award and recognition in multiple local newspapers.

Shaquom earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management and a Minor in Computer Information Systems from SUNY Buffalo State University. He was an EOP Honors Student, a PMI member, and an active participant in leadership and service-learning programs such as:
